MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Jack Davies, former president of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada, died Saturday, April 2, after a five year battle with cancer. He was 78.
Davies was founder of Davies Auto Electric, Ltd., located in Mississauga, Ontario. According to a report from a Canadian news publication, Davies was not only involved in many industry events and organizations but was also deeply committed to charitable work. Davies was a volunteer at the Scott Mission and the Sleeping Children Around the World charity, for which he made six trips to India over the years.
Donations in memory of Jack Davies can be made to the Scott Mission, Sleeping Children Around the World or the Global Hunger and Development Appeal, c/o St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Etobicoke, Ontario.
