Former Affinia Exec Named VP At Goodyear

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named Tom Kaczynski vice president, investor relations.

AKRON, Ohio – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced that Tom Kaczynski has joined the company as vice president of investor relations. He will report to Darren Wells, executive vice president and CFO.
 
Kaczynski joins Goodyear from Affinia Group Inc., where he had been vice president and corporate treasurer. At Affinia Group, Kaczynski established the company’s treasury office and led financing and investor relations activities. He began his career as a design engineer at Caterpillar Inc., and then joined Ford Motor Company in 1992 as a financial analyst and later held positions of increased responsibility in marketing and finance, including project manager for relationship marketing and international financing manager. In 2000, he became part of the team responsible for the spin-off of Visteon Corp. from Ford, joining Visteon as director of affiliate financing. He joined Affinia Group in 2005.
 
Kaczynski received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Michigan State University and a master of science degree in engineering from Oklahoma State University. He received a master of business administration degree from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
