DEARBORN, MI — Ford Motor Co. is investing $200 million in the Cincinnati, OH, Sharonville Transmission Plant for a future transmission that the company hopes will make Ford a leader in high-performance, fuel-efficient powertrains.
The investment will be used to retool the plant for flexible manufacturing and advanced powertrain production, and is supported by a significant incentive package from the State of Ohio, Hamilton County and the City of Sharonville.
"Sharonville is working hard to achieve world-class productivity levels," said Joe Hinrichs, vice president, North America Manufacturing. "We appreciate the show of support from the state and local governments, and the UAW, which is working with us to make our plants competitive."
