Ford Motor Co. is recalling nearly 800,000 trucks and SUVs for a potential fire hazard.
The recall involves approximately 792,000 2000 model-year Ford F-150 pickups, Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators, as well as 2001 model -year F-Series Supercrew trucks made at the same time. According to the automaker, the cruise control switch in these vehicles could short circuit and cause a fire under the hood.
