BLOOMINGDALE, IL — BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) has announced the nationwide schedule for its 2004 Car Care Academy campaign, which kicks off in time for National Car Care Month in April. These free, interactive seminars will be held at Firestone Tire & Service Centers and Tires Plus stores across the U.S. The seminars will teach consumers what they can do on a monthly basis to help keep their cars running in better condition.
In addition to announcing an expanded schedule, BFRC has named a new spokeswoman for the Car Care Academies, Trisha Hessinger.
A leading authority on automotive issues, Hessinger has been a keynote and guest speaker for major auto manufacturers and a contributing writer for various magazines and newspapers on automotive subjects. She has also competed in open wheel and showroom stock car races, is a celebrity race trainer and driving instructor, and is an official pace car driver for the Bridgestone Presents ChampCar World Series powered by Ford.
BFRC has been educating consumers on the significance of tire and vehicle maintenance for more than 30 years through its free Car Care Academies, according to company representatives. This year, BFRC has doubled the number of workshops compared to last year – expanding its efforts to educate customers about automobile safety and awareness, and how to save time and money through proper car care fundamentals.
“Learning the basics of car care is important for all consumers regardless of age or gender. Whether consumers come to our Car Care Academies to learn about staying safer on the road, prolonging the life of their vehicle or simply to feel more confident the next time they take their vehicle in to be serviced, they will all leave feeling more empowered than when they came,” said Hessinger.
