CHANTILLY, Va. Fernand Weiland has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA).
APRA President Bill Gager presented the award to Weiland on April 24 during the 2012 APRA European Remanufacturing Symposium in Krakow, Poland.
Weiland was recognized for distinguished service for his 25 years of dedication to the entire remanufacturing industry. Among his many contributions, Weiland is best known for organizing and building the APRA European Division, the Electronics & Mechatronics Division both in Europe and APRA’s International Association, as well as educational work in China to help organize and build a China remanufacturing industry for that country’s future benefit so they may remanufacture products for their own consumers. Weiland also wrote a book on remanufacturing automotive mechatronics and electronics in 2010.
