STAUNTON, VA — Federated Auto Parts has made a $100,000 donation to the Art Fisher Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund, which is administered by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), benefits students pursuing automotive aftermarket careers. It was recently renamed after Fisher, who died in January 2004, to honor his dedication to the industry.

Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts, announced the donation.

“We are privileged to be able to make this donation in honor of the founder of our company,” said Bishop. “Everyone at Federated wants this scholarship fund to be a lasting tribute to Art’s legacy in the automotive aftermarket. Art started his career as a teacher so this scholarship will also be a testament to his life-long love for education.”

Funds from the Art Fisher Memorial Scholarship program will be presented to two undergraduate students every year who are enrolled in a program of study focusing on the automotive aftermarket.
