Federal-Mogul Powertrain Opens New Distribution Center In Thailand

The new distribution center will expand the reach of the company’s value and premium lines of industrial ignition products. Federal-Mogul Powertrain’s industrial ignition aftermarket products are sold under the Federal-Mogul and Champion brands globally.

Federal-Mogul-Powertrain-LogoFederal-Mogul Powertrain, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., announced that it has further strengthened its presence in Southeast Asia through the addition of a distribution center (DC) in Thailand. The new DC will carry the company’s value and premium lines of industrial ignition products. Federal-Mogul Powertrain’s industrial ignition aftermarket products are sold under the Federal-Mogul and Champion brands globally.

Located near Bangkok, the new facility will enable improved service and accelerated market development of specialized products through closer customer relationships in the region, the company says. “Expansion of our distribution footprint in Southeast Asia is part of our strategy for growth in the industrial ignition market,” said Sunit Kapur, vice president, ignition, Federal-Mogul Powertrain. “We now have the tools to better support and grow the regional customer base for our industrial ignition product portfolio.”

The facility became operational in late March.
