CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – “Driven” will be the theme for the 2008 VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Business Conference, scheduled to take place Oct. 19-24 at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa at Summerlin. The event brings together VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors, supplier partners and industry associates to facilitate the productive exchange of ideas and information benefiting all participants.

“Having ‘Driven’ as the central theme for our annual business conference provides a great summary of our motivation as an organization,” said Steve Crowley, president and CEO, VIPAR Heavy Duty, “because we are driven to succeed, add value, be the market leader and provide solutions to marketplace needs.”

This year, the VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Business Conference will feature a presentation by Brent Grover, Evergreen Consulting LLC. Grover, an experienced business school educator and highly regarded resource in distribution circles, will address VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors in a session titled “Sacred Cows of Distribution.” Grover previously owned and operated a high-profit large distribution business for more than 20 years and has written two popular National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) books on distribution topics.

The VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Business Conference includes general sessions, break-out meetings, the annual stockholders meeting, a tradeshow, one-on-one stockholder/supplier partner meetings, as well as various other business programs.
