COSTA MESA, Calif. — Experian Automotive says its U.S and Canadian Vehicles in Operation (VIO) data is now available even faster, providing automotive companies with the ability to anticipate the needs of the market closer to real-time.
The previous timeline for U.S. VIO was six weeks, and Canada VIO was about 10 weeks after the close of each quarter. With its new delivery enhancements, Experian Automotive says it can now provide a Canadian and U.S. VIO market view within four weeks after the close of the quarter, equating to a 60 percent earlier delivery time for Canadian VIO data and 33 percent increase for U.S. information.
Experian’s U.S. and Canadian VIO data, which are coded to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s (AAIA) standards, includes more than 25 detailed vehicle attributes for 1967 and newer vehicles with quarterly deliveries available for both the Canadian and U.S. markets.
