LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Exide Technologies, the “Official Battery of NASCAR,” has announced several NASCAR team partnerships for 2004. The new partnerships extend the company’s involvement in America’s fastest growing spectator sport.
Exide Technologies will expand its partnership with four teams among NASCAR’s top three divisions. The teams include: the #0 Hass/CNC Racing Chevrolet driven by Ward Burton in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series; the #17 Reiser Enterprises Ford driven by Matt Kenseth in the NASCAR Busch Series; the #6 Tommy Baldwin Racing Dodge driven by multiple drivers in the NASCAR Busch Series; and the #21 Innovative Motorsports Toyota driven by Hank Parker, Jr. in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
“We’re ecstatic to have Exide associated with such prominent teams in the sport of NASCAR,” said Mike Dever, vice president of marketing and product development for Exide, which has been the “Official Battery of NASCAR” since 1997. “While two of the teams are new to the Exide family, we are looking forward to success with all four. Not only will our high quality, track-proven batteries power these competitive teams on the track, but fans also will have the chance to win with various promotions we will conduct around our NASCAR involvement.”
In 2004, Exide will adorn the racing vehicles and transporters of Reiser Enterprises (as well as Kenseth’s uniform), Tommy Baldwin Racing and Innovative Motorsports. In addition, there will be advertising and promotional opportunities with all four teams, which includes Haas/CNC Racing.
