Epicor Introduces Market Demand Tracking And Pricing Analytics To Help Aftermarket Businesses Boost Bottom-Line Growth

The company will showcase new solutions for industry suppliers and distributors during the 2018 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.

Epicor Software Corp. has introduced two new industry data analytics solutions for automotive aftermarket manufacturers and distributors. The new Epicor MarketPACE analytics solution, which will be showcased at the 2018 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas, is designed to help users identify promising new product opportunities and optimize pricing and revenue generation. Ideal for businesses of any size, the solutions can be used in conjunction with many existing aftermarket industry data pools, according to Epicor.

The MarketPACE series includes a new, broad-scale market demand tracking and planning app to help manufacturers and distributors easily model demand for virtually any part on a localized basis. The app features a user-friendly “pin-drop” interface that generates a normalized index of demand within a specified geographic region, including by ZIP code.

“This powerful, user-friendly new app helps users improve market planning and sales performance by tracking daily point-of-sale activity by part number on a localized basis,” said Rod Bayless, senior director, industry data analytics, Epicor Software. “The app also provides detailed market intelligence necessary to dramatically enhance planning at a category level.”

The second new MarketPACE app introduces the power of pricing science – already well established in consumer-goods markets – to the replacement parts industry.

The tool, compatible with most existing, industry-specific data pools, enables users to determine price elasticity on a part number basis between distributors/jobbers and professional service providers. Built through collaboration among Epicor data scientists and Kaizen Analytix, a respected pricing analytics firm, the new app is designed to extend users’ existing data analytics capabilities to one of the most dynamic and least understood business practices, Epicor says.

“Our ability to consolidate and normalize data at the vehicle and parts and service transaction levels is unmatched in the aftermarket,” said Scott Thompson, senior vice president, automotive and business services, Epicor Software. “Our MarketPACE solutions represent a significant investment in helping our customers transform product planning and sales processes.”

Epicor will offer free demonstrations of the MarketPACE apps and other solutions for the aftermarket in its exhibit (booth No. 2238) at AAPEX 2018, Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 in Las Vegas.
