EnerSys Offers New ODYSSEY Battery Technical Tip Videos On YouTube

Each technical tip video can be viewed on the ODYSSEY Battery YouTube channel at youtube.com/OdysseyBatteries.

EnerSys has added three new technical tip videos to its ODYSSEY Battery YouTube channel. The videos address how to inspect, how to test and how to charge ODYSSEY batteries for commercial heavy-duty trucks.

Battery inspection is vital to ensure it is in proper working condition. The “How to inspect your ODYSSEY battery” video addresses inspection, cleaning and troubleshooting. It discusses inspecting the hold down for ideal functionality as well as the cleanliness of the cables. In addition, the video explains how to test the battery’s voltage.

The “Testing an ODYSSEY battery” video addresses proper battery testing and the equipment needed for a successful test. It shows how to use terminal adaptors, a volt meter and a battery tester to obtain the most effective results and confirm your battery is in good working condition.

The “How to charge an ODYSSEY battery” video discusses how to properly and quickly charge ODYSSEY batteries. If the proper equipment is used, charging an ODYSSEY battery is typically easier than charging a standard lead calcium battery due to their very low internal resistance. The video shows how to prepare an ODYSSEY battery for charging, and details how to use a PAC charger.

Each technical tip video can be viewed on the ODYSSEY Battery YouTube channel at youtube.com/OdysseyBatteries. Always be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for battery care and handling, and direct any questions to your battery professional.

“ODYSSEY batteries are designed to provide superior performance for a variety of applications,” said Alan Kohler, transportation and specialty marketing manager at EnerSys. “Our series of technical tip videos help users achieve the highest level of results from each ODYSSEY battery, ultimately helping to increase uptime and reduce total cost of ownership.”
