Eaton Launches New ELocker Differential

Available mid-May, it fits 35-spline axles for the 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT.

Eaton’s Vehicle Group announced it is expanding its aftermarket ELocker differential portfolio by adding a new differential that fits 35-spline axles for the 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator JT. It will be available in mid-May, 2023, the company says.

“We designed this new ELocker for the hard-core off-road aficionados who are upfitting their Jeeps for extreme off-road excursions,” said Corneliu Bogdan, director, aftermarket sales, Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America. “Our new 35-spline ELocker differential for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT is designed to work with upgraded axles for serious off-road adventures, and the simple push-button operation allows drivers to quickly lock the axle to overcome the most challenging terrain.”

The electronic locking ELocker differential is for drivers that want full control and traction on demand, according to Eaton. It features net-forged gears offering the strength and durability needed for off-road and recreational driving, while its electronic controls provide driver-selectable operation and added reliability over similar air-controlled products. By simply pressing a dash switch, the differential sends all available torque to all wheels equally, providing maximum traction to overcome challenging terrain, according to the company.
