East Penn Recognized By Honda For Sustainability

East Penn received the top honor out of all 743 suppliers evaluated.

East Penn has been recognized by Honda North America with the prestigious 2020 Supplier Sustainability Award. This is East Penn’s first time being recognized for this award, previously receiving a different sustainability award for Green Excellence in 2015.

Each year, Honda recognizes OEM suppliers for their performance in one or more of three categories – quality and delivery, value and sustainability. The Supplier Sustainability Award is given to a company that is committed to social responsibility, based on leadership in the areas of compliance and ethics, environmental governance, diversity, health and safety, social and trade compliance. East Penn received the top honor out of all 743 suppliers evaluated.

“First and foremost, we want to thank your organization for the many efforts you took to support Honda operations this past year. It has been a challenging year for all of us and your commitment to meet the needs of Honda and our customers has been outstanding,” said Mark Willoughby, general manager, and Taku Nohara, vice president, in a letter from Honda’s Procurement Business Unit. “The Honda Purchasing functions are proud to recognize your exceptional performance and to award your organization with a 2020 Honda Supplier Award. We thank you for your superior achievement.”
