LAPEER, MI — Durakon Industries, a leading provider of thermoformed products and paint film technology to the automotive industry, has appointed Bert McGoff plant manager of its Lapeer, Mich., facility.
Prior to joining Durakon McGoff was deployment champion for Six Sigma of the Lear Corp. McGoff has been honing his expertise as a practitioner of the lean manufacturing theory since 1991.
“Bert comes to us well versed in automotive OE requirements,” said Bob Saenz, vice president of operations. “His twenty some odd years of experience have prepared him well in the areas of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. He comes at a very opportune time when business in Lapeer is growing”.
Durakon’s Lapeer facility produces thermoformed products for the automotive industry and supports a number of Durakon product lines for the OEM and Aftermarket. Durakon’s thermoformed products and paint film technology have received a number of prestigious awards recently from the Society of Plastic Engineers and Frost & Sullivan.
