ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. — A report from the Detroit Free Press said today that Michigan-based automotive supplier Dura Automotive Systems is looking to take the company from public to private status following its emergence from bankruptcy last year.
Dura asked its shareholders for permission to stop reporting its quarterly and annual financial results, according to the report. Shareholders have been asked to vote on the measure by Feb. 20.
The move could potentially save the company money, in terms of the costs associated with reporting as a public company.
