Dupli-Color TV Commercial Receives Advertising Award

Automotive paints, primer and coatings manufacturer Dupli-Color Products Group was the recipient of a Gold ADDY. The Cleveland ADDY Awards Competition is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The ADDY Awards Competition is the industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.

AKRON, OH — Automotive paints, primer and coatings manufacturer Dupli-Color Products Group was the recipient of a Gold ADDY. The Cleveland ADDY Awards Competition is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The ADDY Awards Competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.

Dupli-Color received the award in the National TV, Consumer Products category at the annual Cleveland Advertising Association ADDY Awards Banquet, which was held last week. The Gold ADDY was awarded to Anthony Thomas Advertising for its development of a 30-second national television commercial for Dupli-Color. The commercial, which promotes Dupli-Color’s new Scratch-Fix 2in1 in a humorous setting, is currently airing throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The Cleveland ADDY Awards Banquet is an annual awards ceremony recognizing exceptional advertising achievements produced in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. Judging was based on more than 650 entries, with only 21 Gold Awards presented. By winning a Gold Award, the Dupli-Color commercial will automatically be entered in the regional awards competition.

Anthony Thomas Advertising is an Akron, Ohio-based national advertising and communications firm. Entering its sixteenth year, Anthony Thomas Advertising specializes in enthusiast marketing and communications. This is the first time the firm has entered the Cleveland ADDY Awards Competition.
