Dupli-Color Expands Partnership With Delancey Street Foundation

Delancey Street Foundation is one of the country's leading residential self-help organizations for struggling men and women of all ages.

CLEVELAND – Dupli-Color is once again extending its reach beyond car enthusiasts and donating its extensive line of automotive paint and coatings to the Delancey Street Foundation, one of the country’s leading residential self-help organizations for struggling men and women of all ages. This year, Dupli-Color is broadening its relationship with the charitable organization by donating more than $10,000 worth of automotive maintenance and repair products to all of the five Delancey Street campuses across the United States.

For more than 40 years, Delancey Street has been developing a model of social entrepreneurship, education, rehabilitation and change, helping to transform people’s lives. In order to prepare its residents for a better future, the organization partners with colleges and a variety of companies, such as Dupli-Color, to provide vital materials and training to individuals building careers in a number of technical and non-technical fields. The organization is run with no staff and no funding, and residents help each other without any experts intervening. According to Dupli-Color, Delancey Street considers itself to be like a large family, where its residents must learn to develop their strengths, address their weaknesses and support one another along the way.

With locations in California, New Mexico, New York and North Carolina, each Delancey Street campus will use the Dupli-Color products in its automotive program, providing residents with the necessary tools and expertise to develop a valuable trade in automotive restoration and repair.

“Delancey Street is doing something exceptional by changing the model of how to help people in need," said Paulette Grimme, Dupli-Color’s brand manager. "We are very proud Dupli-Color’s products can support this remarkable program that is empowering people through education and vocational development, which can ultimately transform their lives.”

Dupli-Color’s donation to the foundation consists of much needed automotive products including auto paint, primers, wheel coatings and a number of paint and coating products from the Dupli-Color Paint Shop Finish System.
