Dorman Wins ACPN Receiver’s Choice Award

Dorman received the recognition from O’Reilly Auto Parts and MAM Software.

Dorman Products Inc. recently received the O’Reilly Auto Parts and MAM Software Receiver’s Choice Awards through the Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN), a community of the Auto Care Association, during the recent 2020 ACPN Knowledge Exchange Conference.

The Receiver’s Choice Award recognizes organizations that are supplying high-quality content including ACES, PIES, digital assets and other customer specific formats. Honorees are selected by data receivers who support ACPN for their exemplary content and are leading the way in integrity, accuracy, timeliness, completeness, best practices and other proprietary judging criteria.

“High-quality content and data has been a major focus at Dorman over the past few years, and we are thrilled to receive this recognition for all our teams’ hard work,” said John Larson, Dorman’s director of supply chain systems and analytics. “We’ve made tremendous strides recently, but we honestly feel like we’re just getting started.”

On average, Dorman releases several hundred new products every month, across hundreds of product categories, so ensuring accurate and effective product information is a unique challenge. Multiple departments at Dorman work to develop and deliver this information, from applications research and information technology, to marketing and customer experience.

“When you develop as many unique auto repair solutions as we do, the need for new content is endless, but so is the opportunity for really great work,” said Steve Gisondi, vice president of marketing. “From compelling product descriptions and professional product photography, to best-in-class videos and new media formats, we are always looking for ways to give our customers valuable digital assets, so it’s a great honor to see that work recognized.”
