About Omer Burhanoglu
Born in Trabzon, Turkey in 1960, Omer Burhanoglu holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bosphorus University and a MS Degree in System Analysis from Istanbul Technical University. He studied Management Engineering at doctoral level.
With over 38 years of experience, Omer Burhanoglu is one of leaders of the automotive industry. He started working at Farplas in 1983 and in a short time he made significant progress in positioning the company as one of the leaders in the automotive industry by applying innovative approaches and creative ideas. He is former CEO and current Board Member of Fark Holding’s flagship company Farplas as of 2021. Burhanoglu is Co-Founder, Board Member and CEO of Fark Holding Companies (Farel, Faraero, Farform, F+Ventures, Fark Labs, Comodif, CSUM, Duckt.).
The life philosophy of Burhanoglu, who is a photographer, has an effort to live a “whole” life made up of a bouquet of family, art, sports, work, and social responsibility. Photography has a special place in this effort. Ömer Burhanoglu published his works in his first book named “AYNI AYRI” (The Same – The Different) and currently working on his second book. All proceeds of his first book “AYNI AYRI” was donated to the Ömer Burhanoglu Hospital, which was transferred to the Ministry of Health in Trabzon after completion. Burhanoglu has been and continues to be involved in many social responsibility projects in the fields of art, sports, education, and health.
As one of the leading angel investors in Turkey, Omer Burhanoglu takes initiative in various platforms and is actively involved in the startup ecosystem due to his passion for innovation and interest in new business models.
