Direct Lift Gives Away Trip for Two to Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction

Lisa and Donald Oettinger of Henderson, Nev., were the grand prize winners in Direct Lift's Facebook contest to win a trip to the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction last weekend. The prize included passes to the auction, $500 spending money and three nights at Mandalay Bay Resort, home of the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction.

MADISON, Ind. – Lisa and Donald Oettinger of Henderson, Nev., were the grand prize winners in Direct Lift’s Facebook contest to win a trip to the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction last weekend.
 
Barrett-Jackson produces “The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions,” automotive and luxury lifestyle events centered on the auction sales of an amazing array of high-end and collector vehicles. Direct Lift is the official lift of the Barrett-Jackson Auctions.
 
The prize included passes to the auction, $500 spending money and three nights at Mandalay Bay Resort, home of the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction.
 
“Thank you, Direct Lift, for an amazing, classic weekend!” Lisa Oettinger said. “My husband and I had a great time.”
 
There are four Barrett-Jackson auctions every year. The Las Vegas event wrapped up the 2012 season.

Nissan Secured Gateway Vehicles 

Snap-on announces it has been approved by Nissan for direct access to their vehicle gateway module from Snap-on scan tools. The ability to work with Nissan secure systems is available on Snap-on Wi-Fi-enabled products operating the latest software, the company said.

Automobile manufacturers are developing solutions to protect their vehicles’ networks from unauthorized access, including potential cyber-attacks. Nissan, along with several other manufacturers, have recently implemented a secure gateway module that was introduced on a selection of their 2019 and newer model vehicles. For those vehicles with the secure gateway module, access to certain diagnostic functions requires registration and authentication through an approved device for all aftermarket scan tools.The Snap-on Security Link solution provides diagnostic platform owners a uniform method to access secured vehicle systems from their diagnostic tool ​gateway modules, the company said.
