TOKYO — Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Motorsport GmbH have announced today that DENSO Corp. has become a corporate sponsor for the Panasonic Toyota Racing F1 team from the 2004 season.
DENSO has supported the Toyota F1 team as a technical partner since 2002, providing products such as tailor-made spark plugs for the team’s V10 engine.
Under the new sponsorship deal, DENSO expands its relationship to become a corporate sponsor for Panasonic Toyota Racing, in addition to the existing technical support.
DENSO’s logo appears on the engine cover of the team’s 2004 race car, the TF104, which made its debut January 17. Furthermore, Denso’s logo will be branded on team clothing, driver overalls, helmets and pit walls, in addition to the logo already allocated on motorhomes and technical trucks.
