TROY, MI — Delphi has unveiled a new line of remanufactured engine control modules (ECMs) and powertrain control modules (PCMs) for the independent aftermarket. The company said it is leveraging its global OE engine management heritage to provide high-quality remanufactured product to the aftermarket.
Delphi’s remanufactured ECM and PCM line of 66 part numbers is now available for many car and light truck OBD II applications across model years 1996 through 2005. According to Delphi, the product line will be expanded later this spring to include additional models and coverage for OBD I (1990-1995) control module applications.
Delphi’s Electronics and Safety division manufactures 34,000 new ECM/PCM units per day in nine manufacturing plants globally. Since the introduction of engine electronics in the late 1970s, Delphi has produced 189 million units.
“Delphi’s reman process utilizes the latest production validated components and full functional testing to meet OE specifications,” said Mark Shasteen, vice president global manufacturing, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “Our reman ECM/PCM products will be remanufactured with the same high quality standards that OE customers have come to associate with the Delphi brand.”
The ECM/PCM offering features late model coverage and will be supported by a special technical assistance hotline to address diagnostic questions through Delphi’s Service Solutions team.
