Judge Robert Drain, the bankruptcy judge handling Delphi Corp.’s Chapter 11 case, has granted the parts maker more time to modify its plan for emerging from bankruptcy.
According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, Drain approved a motion that gives Delphi until the end of January to file its plan without the involvement of its creditors. The company was previously trying to meet a deadline of Oct. 31.
Drain also approved a motion to allow Delphi and members of its creditor and equity holder committees to take part in discussions about how the company’s bankruptcy exit will be financed, the Free Press report said.
