DCR Systems will utilize Summit Software's shop and network management technologies in all existing and future DCR and DCR licensee locations, while Summit Software will develop proprietary software and technology solutions for DCR's patent-pending collision repair operating model.

MENTOR, Ohio – Collision repair provider DCR Systems has entered into a strategic long-term business agreement with Summit Software Solutions Inc. DCR Systems will utilize Summit Software’s shop and network management technologies in all existing and future DCR and DCR licensee locations, while Summit Software will develop proprietary software and technology solutions for DCR’s patent-pending collision repair operating model.

“Summit Software Solutions supports the DCR Systems’ process through the development of applications to accelerate information that we use as leading indicators of performance,” said DCR Systems Chief Operating Officer Lauren Angie. “Because Summit and its developers understand our process so well, we have an opportunity and an edge in collecting useful data and sustained improvement.”

Says Frank Terlep, president of Summit: “The DCR/Summit agreement will allow both of our companies to work together to bring new and improved technologies to this industry, which will ultimately prove that ‘lean’ is the successful collision repair operating model for the future. It will also improve the consumer’s collision repair experience, enable new car dealerships and insurers to benefit from increased customer loyalty, and help DCR Systems and Summit Software Solutions expand their business models. A true win-win-win.”

DCR Systems offers U.S. Toyota dealers both turnkey collision repair outsourcing as well as collision repair licensing opportunities. Utilizing “lean” manufacturing principles, DCR’s unique process drives predictable, dependable repair quality and delivers high-level customer satisfaction and greater owner retention — enabling Toyota dealers to expand their revenue stream without any of the headaches associated with traditional auto body repair.
