Dayco Associate Named Parts Authority Factory Rep Of The Year

Dayco Products' New York Account Manager Luis Rivera was recently named the Parts Authority Factory Rep of the Year. Rivera, a 15-year employee at Dayco, was presented with the award during Parts Authority's 40th anniversary trade show on April 30 at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.

TULSA, Okla. – Dayco Products’ New York Account Manager Luis Rivera was recently named the Parts Authority Factory Rep of the Year. Rivera, a 15-year employee at Dayco, was presented with the award during Parts Authority’s 40th anniversary trade show on April 30 at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.

“Everyone at Parts Authority has their heart in the job and I work closely with everyone within their organization,” said Rivera. “But I didn’t do it alone. My colleagues in New Jersey have helped me tremendously. Without them, and the entire team at our aftermarket headquarters in Tulsa, Okla., I wouldn’t be able to handle our customer’s needs in a timely manner.”

Recognized for his dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence, Rivera also was named Factory Rep of the Year at Parts Authority’s shows in 2006 and 2010.

“When Parts Authority first switched to Dayco, I was concerned about the man-power as well as Dayco being able to keep up the excellent service our previous vendor provided. Luis has a great rapport with all of our customers and our staff, whether that is our sales team, accounts payable, purchasing or warehousing, and his positive attitude gives him the ability to deal with all different types of customers,” said Randy Buller, president and CEO of Parts Authority. “He also knows how to deal with all parts of our business and how to approach each specific department, which creates less work for our staff. If every vendor were like Luis, our workload would be cut down dramatically.”

Utilizing technologies such as text messaging, email and multiple social media outlets helps Rivera promote Dayco while increasing sales, Buller added.

The Parts Authority is one of the largest distributors of automotive and truck parts on the East Coast and since its founding, has strived to maintain a customer service philosophy that puts the customer first. The company added that Rivera consistently works to meet the Parts Authority philosophy by completing customer, and prospective customer, sales calls and service, as well as initiating product information and educational training sessions.

“Congratulations to Luis for being recognized for his strong work ethic and overall performance. Dayco is blessed to have an entire sales team that is guided by the same principles of working with our customers, understanding ours customers’ needs and working hard to meet those needs,” said Richard Crotzer, director of United States Sales for Dayco Products. “This is the foundation for which the Dayco sales force is built upon and helps our team accomplish the overall goal of product training, customer service and increased sales.”
