Custom Automotive Network Presents Annual Awards At CAN Connect Conference

Three awards were presented at the 45th annual conference: Sales Rep of the Year, Reseller of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.

Custom Automotive Network (CAN), formerly known as Performance Warehouse Association, recently presented a number of special awards during the 45th annual CAN Connect Conference.

Harry Miller Sales (HMS) was named 2018 Sales Rep of the Year. The prestigious award is voted on by CAN membership in recognition of demonstrating overall support for the custom aftermarket distribution system and appreciation of conscientious dedication to the industry. The award was presented by Custom Automotive Network’s President, Tracie Nunez, at the CAN Connect Conference on Sept. 9, 2018 in Frisco, Texas. HMS was founded in 2010 with one mission: “To be of service to performance and racing manufacturers, resellers and consumers by providing an ‘Old School’ bridge between the factory and their target market base, and at the same time, help both sides embrace the ‘New Age’ of parts distribution and technology.”

The HMS team boasts more than 190 years of combined industry experience and everyone on the HMS crew are true industry veterans, offering very valuable and unique background experience in all facets of the performance and racing industry, according to CAN. Each year, HMS visits countless businesses and enjoys sound working relationships with companies of all sizes, ranging from “Mom & Pop Shops,” all the way up to the largest performance parts distributors in the U.S. The HMS goal is to engage at all levels of the entire distribution channel.

HMS strives to make everyone’s experience with a manufacturer rep company as easy and enjoyable as possible. HMS genuinely cares about the brands they work with and the overall distribution network experience.

Commenting on the award, Nunez said, “It is exciting to recognize the Harry Miller Sales team as the Sales Rep of the Year for a job well done. Their dedication and service to the distribution channel is known by many Custom Automotive Network’s members.”

CAN also recognized Truck Hero as its 2018 Manufacturer of the Year.

Nunez said, “I am honored to present Truck Hero with CAN’s Manufacturer of the Year award. This is truly unique as many of their brands have maintained their separate CAN memberships and are heavily represented at our CAN Connect Conference. Voted on by our Reseller members, it is a testament to Truck Hero’s continued support of the distribution sales channel.”

Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Truck Hero is focused on providing consumers a full range of truck bed covers and other truck and Jeep accessories with market leading functionality, engineering, quality and design. The breadth of Truck Hero’s product offering includes hard and soft truck bed covers, truck caps, bed liners, floor liners, steps, lift kits and a full range of Jeep accessories and replacement parts. Truck Hero’s family of brands includes Extang, TruXedo, BedRug, UnderCover, Advantage, Retrax, BAK, A.R.E., N-FAB, Husky Liners, Rugged Liner, Superlift, Omix-ADA, Rugged Ridge, RealTruck and AutoCustoms. All of the companies in the Truck Hero family are recognized as premier brands in the U.S. light duty truck and Jeep aftermarket and are leaders in product innovation, according to CAN.Motovicity Distribution was named by CAN membership as 2018 Reseller of the Year.
