SmartWasher-logoWARMINSTER, Pa. – CRC Industries has acquired ChemFree Corp., located in Norcross, Ga.

ChemFree is a subsidiary of Intelligent Systems Corp., and manufactures the SmartWasher Bio Remediating Parts Washing System, designed to provide an alternative method for cleaning vehicle and maintenance parts without harming humans or the environment. The SmartWasher system consists of the SmartWasher parts washer, OzzyJuice Degreasing Solutions and OzzyMats, which are microbe impregnated filters. The ChemFree Smartwasher product line is distributed in more than 40 countries and marketed under multiple patents.

According to CRC, the SmartWasher system eliminates or dramatically reduces waste streams, as well as the expense of hazardous waste removal and associated liabilities. Combining the ChemFree product line and CRC’s broad specialty chemical platform will create superior performance and enhanced environmental responsibility, as well as new product growth opportunities, the company says.

Tom McNally will continue as vice president and general manager of the ChemFree business. The manufacturing, sales, customer service, distribution and administration offices will remain headquartered in Norcross, Ga., and will report directly to Wayne King, president – CRC Americas Group.
