CHANTILLY, Va. — The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) will hold its “Core Trends” workshop during APRA’s International BIG R Show from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Dr. Jeffrey Susbauer will moderate the workshop. Susbauer is a long-time APRA consultant and co-author of the three APRA Core Manuals published in 1983, 1985 and 1989. This year’s workshop marks his first seminar on the issue of cores at the International BIG R Show in more than a decade.
The workshop will consist of keynote speeches and a panel discussion presented by industry veterans. Robert Grady, of Rebuilders Automotive Supply in Coventry, R.I., will look at core trends from the position of the core supplier, while Rob Wright, of Undercar Express in Cleveland, Ohio, will examine core trends from the perspective of the remanufacturer.
Confirmed members of the panel discussion include:
Selwyn Joffe, chairman, president and CEO of Motorcar Pacts of America in Torrance, Calif.;
Joe Kripli, president of Flight Systems Electronics Group in Lewisburg, Pa.; and
Dick Fairbanks, president of Orleans Auto Supply in Hyannis, Mass.
“We hope to have all viewpoints covered in this workshop — from the core supplier to the remanufacturer to the warehouse-distributor to the installer,” said APRA President Bill Gager. It should be a very educational and enlightening session.”
