Cooper Teaming Up With Fate

As part of the agreement, Fate will distribute Cooper-branded passenger tires in Argentina.

From Tire Review

Cooper Tire - LogoCooper Tire & Rubber Co. and Fate, an Argentine tire manufacturer and exporter, have signed an agreement to work together. As part of the agreement, Fate will distribute Cooper-branded passenger tires in Argentina. Over time, the two companies may also work together on tire production, offtake arrangements and research and development activities, Cooper said.

“Cooper is pleased to align with Fate, a highly respected and quality-focused tire company with extensive reach in Argentina and throughout South America, as we continue to move forward with our strategic plan to grow our business in Latin America,” said Brad Hughes, chief operating officer at Cooper.

Fate produces passenger, light truck and SUV tires as well as TBR tires at its facility in San Fernando, Argentina. This plant is the largest and most modern tire production facility in that nation, producing approximately 5 million tires per year, according to Cooper.
