NOVI, Mich. Cooper Standard is marking its inaugural trip to the 2012 AAPEX show with the debut of its new global Performance Products Group.
The Performance Products Group combines the former businesses of StanPro in North America, Metzeler Technical Rubber Products and Specialty Products Group in Europe and Tecalemit in Australia to address the significant global growth in sectors adjacent to the light vehicle market. Products that will be showcased at the event include sealing systems, thermal and emissions systems, fluid delivery systems, anti-vibration systems, sheeting, industrial lubrication and workshop equipment in booth No. 5737.
The company says the group will be managed by an experienced and dedicated Cooper Standard leadership team and will capitalize on upcoming growth opportunities in the aftermarket, as well as other key areas, such as commercial vehicle, off-highway, powersports, marine, construction and other specialty markets.
"The rapid growth of non-traditional Cooper Standard markets creates an excellent opportunity for the company to leverage its technical capabilities to provide more solutions to this segment of customers," said Allen Campbell, CFO of Cooper Standard and executive champion for the Performance Products Group. "For example, as the commercial truck market grows in emerging markets there will be an increased demand for improved comfort and performance. With the formation of our Performance Products Group, Cooper Standard now has the infrastructure to effectively and efficiently meet this demand."
Cooper Standard is a sponsor and partner with Brad Keselowski Racing <http://www.bradracing.com/> (BKR). Through the Performance Products Group, the company supplies the oil lines and circulating pump to the No. 29 Cooper Standard RAM running in National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing’s (NASCAR) Camping World Truck Series. The group also provides a radiator pan seal for the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger driven by Brad Keselowski, which was installed just prior to Keselowski’s wins at Chicagoland Speedway and Dover International Speedway.
