ContiTech Signs Cloyes to Distribute Automotive Timing Belts

ContiTech Power Transmission Systems, a business unit of the ContiTech Division of Continental AG, has signed an agreement to supply timing belts to Cloyes Gear & Products, Paris, Ark.

,CLEVELAND– ContiTech Power Transmission Systems, a business unit of the ContiTech Division of Continental AG, has signed an agreement to supply timing belts to Cloyes Gear & Products, Paris, Ark.

Cloyes is a major manufacturer and distributor of automotive timing components, and will market and sell ContiTech timing belts under the Cloyes brand.

“The agreement will strengthen our competitive position in the marketplace,” said Mick Jordan, vice president of marketing and national accounts for Cloyes. “The partnership also will give us a full line of products for our customers.”

“Reaching this agreement with a world-class distributor such as Cloyes will enable us to grow our presence in the Americas,” said Roger Homer, director of marketing for ContiTech’s North America Power Transmission Systems. “Also, this is a testament to ContiTech’s product quality and technology. Cloyes has a solid reputation in the industry, and we are honored to form this partnership with them.”

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
