ContiTech Launches Serpentine Belt Line for North American Aftermarket

ContiTech has added a full line of serpentine belts for the North American automotive aftermarket to complement its existing full line of timing belts. “We have been selling serpentine belts for European imports for many years in North America, and have a significant market share position in this segment,” said Roger Homer, marketing director, ContiTech Power Transmission Group. “This new line will enable us to supply the entire range of cars, light trucks and SUVs in the North American aftermarket.”

CLEVELAND — ContiTech has added a full line of serpentine belts for the North American automotive aftermarket to complement its existing full line of timing belts.

The product line is called CONTI-V MULTIRIB, and is available through ContiTech distribution channels.

“We have had outstanding success in selling our products to the OE manufacturers, “ said Homer, “and we have had a full line of timing belts for the North American aftermarket for some time. We realize that OE parts are increasingly in demand in the aftermarket, and with the launch of this product, installers and consumers will have the opportunity to select the same quality that vehicle manufacturers insist on.”

ContiTech Power Transmission Group, a business unit of the ContiTech Division of Continental AG, develops and manufactures a wide range of drive systems for the automotive original equipment and replacement markets, appliance and industrial equipment industries. ContiTech Power Transmission Group employs more than 1,325 worldwide.
