Continental Tire The Americas Names Chris Charity to Key Sales Position

Charity replaces Tom Colelli, who is retiring after 43 years of outstanding service to Continental Tire.

FORT MILL, S.C. – The Passenger and Light Truck Tire Division of Continental has appointed Chris Charity to the position of national sales manager — dealer channel in the U.S. In his new role, Charity will be responsible for directing, managing, training and supervising the dealer field sales force. He will also manage and oversee the development of new business and the growth of existing accounts within the U.S.

Charity replaces Tom Colelli, who is retiring after 43 years of outstanding service to Continental Tire.

“On behalf of Continental, I would like to thank Tom Colelli for his years of dedication to our company. We wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement years,” said Bill Caldwell, vice president of sales and marketing, Continental Tire.

Prior to this appointment, Charity was the national sales manager, automotive aftermarket for Continental Tire. He joined Continental’s Tire operations in April 2002 as a quality engineer. Prior to joining Continental, Charity was employed by Collins & Aikman and Custom Molders Inc.
      
Charity received his bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and his M.B.A. from Wingate University. He is based in Fort Mill, S.C., and will report directly to Jim Sicking, director, dealer sales channel.
