Continental Corp. Donates Female Leadership Scholarship to Northwood University

The award makes it possible for one female Northwood University student to participate in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association's annual legislative summit.

LAS VEGAS — Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket is providing a scholarship to Northwood University for its leadership program. The award, which was originally established by the company in 2004, makes the scholarship available to a female Northwood University student so that she can participate in AAIA’s annual Legislative Summit. 

The award was presented to Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of AAIA, yesterday during AAPEX by David Mestdagh, director, North American Aftermarket Operations, Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, Interior Division, Continental; Helmut Ernst, vice president IAM; Jerry Gabbard, vice-president and general manager NAFTA Region; and AnnaMaria Pouchan, marketing communications manager.

The University of the Aftermarket is not only a very valuable asset in our industry but also to young women who want to become an integral part of the automotive business.”
