Christophe Cazabeau Appointed Head Of Surface Treatment Global Business Unit Of BASF’s Coatings Division

Before assuming his current role, Cazabeau had overseen the post-merger integration of the Engineering Plastics business of Solvay into the Performance Materials division of BASF.

Christophe Cazabeau, senior vice president, has been appointed head of the global business unit Surface Treatment of BASF’s Coatings division, which operates under the Chemetall brand. Effective Aug. 1, he succeeds Dr. Martin Jung, who has led the Chemetall business since 2017. Jung has joined BASF’s Performance Materials division in Belgium.

Before assuming his current role, Cazabeau had overseen the post-merger integration of the Engineering Plastics business of Solvay into the Performance Materials division of BASF.

Cazabeau studied business administration at Sciences Po Paris, France, and holds a Master of Science degree in engineering. He joined BASF in 2009 and has held various senior positions of increasing responsibility within the group in France, Germany and overseas, including business manager of the BASF Coatings business in India. Cazabeau also held the position of vice president business management for the Industrial Applications segment of the Performance Materials division in EMEA.
