Christian Brothers Announces Signed Agreement to Bring Car Repair to Irmo

Christian Brothers Expands in South Carolina

Local entrepreneur expands trusted car service and repair brand’s presence in the Greater Columbia area.

Christian Brothers Automotive is putting more West Columbia-area community members in the driver’s seat when it comes to making decisions on auto services and repair. The brand, ranked number one by J.D. Power in Customer Satisfaction among Aftermarket Full-Service Maintenance and Repair Providers three times in a row*, announced a signed agreement that will expand seamless car repair services to Irmo.

Owned by local entrepreneur Jim Smith, the new shop marks the dawn of a new day for car care in Irmo. Armed with the refreshing guiding principle, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” Christian Brothers Automotive goes beyond just exemplary auto service; the brand takes a close interest in the health of its guests’ vehicles by approaching auto repair work with transparency, integrity and compassion.

Joining an existing shop in Lexington, the new Irmo location at 8079 Irmo Drive will be Christian Brothers Automotive’s fifth shop in South Carolina.

“In my previous career, I had the chance to get to know people all over the country. With Christian Brothers Automotive, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be more active within my local community and serve my friends and neighbors,” said Smith. “I knew I wanted to work in an industry that helped to keep people moving, whether that be by sending them on vacation, sending them to grandma’s house or even sending them to the grocery store. All of that can be accomplished through our honest, high-quality auto repair service.”

Prior to opening Christian Brothers Automotive in Irmo, Smith cultivated a 25-year career in commercial building materials sales. During his tenure, he managed a large, high-quality sales team. Through his position, Smith developed a knack for building strong relationships with his clients, making sure that he was able to educate them on the best fit and value for their needs.

With this signed agreement, we’re focused on providing a better experience for even more guests in West Columbia,” said Donnie Carr, President and CEO of Christian Brothers Automotive. “I am pleased to welcome this new shop to the brand and am confident that Jim’s passion for providing quality guest service makes him the perfect fit for the Irmo area. I’m excited to see what kind of impact he’ll make in the local community.”
