VALENCIA, CA — Less than a year after becoming a separate entity, China Manufacturers Alliance Inc. has changed its name to American Pacific Industries Inc. (API), and will expand its product offering to include tires produced in India and Indonesia.
Jeff Kreiztman, CEO of the Valencia, Calif.-based API Inc., said the name change better reflects the company’s growing manufacturing base in China and around the world and to end confusion between CMA Inc. and China Manufacturers Alliance LLC.
Last March, the then-China Manufacturers Alliance broke into two companies – CMA Inc., which is owned by Kreitzman and Wayne Hung, and CMA LLC, which is majority owned by Shanghai Tyre & Rubber Co.
The change has been good for API, which has doubled its sales volume, according to Kreitzman. API recently began importing tires from India and plans to source product from Indonesia beginning early next year. API markets ultra high performance tires, radial and bias light and medium truck tires, OTR and agricultural tires, industrial and specialty tires and rubber tracks under a range of brands names, including Advance, Armour, Gladiator, Pegasus, Nortech, Vortex and Wynstar.
“We look forward to another highly successful year as we continue our global expansion,” said Kreitzman of the name change. “It is with the support and loyalty of our valued customers that we are able to maintain our rapid growth and it is important that we change our corporate name to better reflect our company’s expanding manufacturing base. We are no longer limited to manufacturing in China.”
The company remains at its previous Valencia address
