Chilton Announces the Release of ChiltonEstimating

Company offers new online estimating tool for professional automotive technicians.

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Chilton, part of Cengage Learning, has announced the release of ChiltonEstimating, a new online tool to aid professional automotive technicians with estimates, work orders and invoices.

ChiltonEstimating provides easy access to current labor times. All content is available online and can be easily accessed through any web-enabled computer, the company says. Adding to the convenience, the product provides users with the ability to open two work orders simultaneously, saving time and money, according to Chilton.

Unlike books or CDs with similar content, the information within ChiltonEstimating is continuously updated to ensure users are receiving the most accurate and up-to-date information when completing an estimate. Additionally, all important customer information within ChiltonEstimating is stored safely online, rather than locally on a computer, so data cannot be lost or destroyed in the event that a computer crashes or malfunctions.

“We understand that technicians need up-to-date information readily available in order to provide complete and accurate estimates,” said David Koontz, publisher, Chilton. “ChiltonEstimating was designed to be completely online and paper-free, allowing users to get the job done accurately and efficiently, therefore saving today’s busy technicians from wasting precious time and money.”

The main goal in creating ChiltonEstimating was to make the estimate process run more seamlessly for technicians, Chilton said.
