The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the commercial vehicle division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), recently announced Bill Strauss, senior economist and economic advisor of the Chicago Federal Reserve, will present a session entitled The Global Economic Overview at the 8th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference.
In his session, Strauss will discuss individual global economics with a historic, present and anticipated outlook in key geographical regions. He will cover what is currently impacting the relationships between countries including USMCA, global tariffs and the possible 2020 economic slowdown. Attendees will learn how these factors could potentially impact the truck industry today and in the future.
Additional HDAD sessions will feature individual presenters and separate distribution executive panel discussions with primary topics that include:

HDAD will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm in the Texas Ballroom at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. The conference is co-presented by HDMA and MacKay & Company and will immediately precede Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2020.
