Angle Advisors has announced that Nucor Corp. has acquired certain assets from Century Tube LLC. Angle Advisors acted as the exclusive investment banking adviser to Century Tube in completing this transaction.
Based in Madison, Indiana, Century Tube supplies carbon steel tubing for automotive and other mechanical and structural applications. The company offers round, square, rectangular, oval and other special welded shapes of mechanical steel tubing, and is a leader in supplying induction heat-treated tubes for automotive applications. Century Tube specializes in producing tubes for door intrusion beams. Since 1993, Century Tube has produced more than 300 million door impact beams for use in Toyota, Honda, Ford, FCA, Subaru, Nissan and Mitsubishi vehicles. The company operates from a 280,000-square-foot facility located on 33 acres.
Nucor is a manufacturer of steel and steel products, with operating facilities primarily in the U.S. and Canada. Products produced include: carbon and alloy steel – in bars, beams, sheet and plate; hollow structural section tubing; electrical conduit; steel piling; steel joists and joist girders; steel deck; fabricated concrete reinforcing steel; cold finished steel; steel fasteners; metal building systems; steel grating; and wire and wire mesh. Nucor, through The David J. Joseph Co., also brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron and hot briquetted iron / direct reduced iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap.
