CCAR Announces 2005-06 Board of Directors

The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) has announced the members of its board of directors and executive committee for 2005-06.

OVERLAND PARK, KS — The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) has announced the members of its board of directors and executive committee for 2005-06.

Executive committee members are Chairman – Guy Bargnes, BASF Corp.; Vice Chairman – Lin Peacock, National Automobile Dealers Association; Secretary – Charles Ayers, Midas International Corp.; and Treasurer – Bill Brown, Johnson County Community College.

In addition to the executive committee, CCAR directors are Mike DeSorbo, CARQUEST Corp.; Bill Mayer, GEICO Insurance; C. David Rios, M.D. and Bob Slovey, General Motors Corp.

“Our board is diverse, and we are excited about advancing the work of CCAR regarding pollution prevention, safety and other sustainable development issues across all segments of the auto repair and service industry,” said Bargnes, director of marketing, BASF Corp., NAFTA Region/Automotive Refinish. “The industry is just beginning to understand the importance of our compliance responsibilities. By striving to have all segments pull together, we can raise industry awareness and the level of compliance.”
