CARQUEST Announces 2013 CARQUEST Auto Parts Classic: Duke Vs. UCLA

The previous two CARQUEST Classic basketball games featured Duke University defeating Butler University in 2010 and the University of Washington in 2011.

RALEIGH, N.C. – CARQUEST Auto Parts has announced it will once again be title sponsor of the CARQUEST Auto Parts Classic college basketball game at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The 2013 edition will take place Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, featuring two of the most storied college basketball schools in history, Duke and UCLA.
 
The 2013 CARQUEST Auto Parts Classic will be the first meeting between Duke and UCLA in more than a decade. Duke last played UCLA on Nov. 30, 2002, defeating the Bruins 84-73 in Indianapolis, Ind. Duke has won three straight games against UCLA and owns a 7-2 series lead under head coach Mike Krzyzewski. UCLA is led by new head coach Steve Alford.
 
The previous two CARQUEST Classic basketball games featured Duke University defeating Butler University in 2010 and the University of Washington in 2011.
 
Tipoff time, ticket information and TV scheduling have not yet been announced for the Dec. 19 game.
