CHARLOTTE, NC — Carlisle Companies Inc., a diversified global manufacturing company that serves the specialty tire and wheel, power transmission and automotive industries, has acquired Trintex Corp.’s specialty tire and wheel business.

With operations in Bowdon, Ga., Trintex manufactures semi-pneumatic tires and wheels for lawn and garden and industrial markets. The company has annual revenues of approximately $33 million.

Richmond McKinnish, Carlisle’s president and CEO, said the acquisition fits the company’s strategy of allocating resources to businesses where Carlisle has leadership. “Trintex is a good addition to our portfolio as it extends our product line offering to the specialty tire and wheel markets,” he said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
