BETHESDA, MD — The Car Care Council Women’s Board has established an annual scholarship for women enrolled in the Automotive Aftermarket/Management program of study at the Michigan campus of Northwood University.

The scholarship will be based upon academic merit and financial need. In order to qualify, each recipient is required to participate in three campus or community-related projects; demonstrate career interest; maintain measurable academic progress; communicate with the donor; and remain enrolled full-time for the entire academic year of the award.

Scholarship applicants are required to complete an application each year and provide at least one letter of reference, excluding relatives. Applications and scholarship information packets will be available after Dec. 1 of each year through the Northwood University scholarship office.

“We are honored to sponsor an annual Northwood University woman’s scholarship,” said Jennifer Tio, president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board. “This is really a win-win situation for everyone because it not only benefits the recipient, but it also helps grow the pool of qualified females within the automotive aftermarket.”
