BETHESDA, Md. The Car Care Council Women’s Board, along with the Automotive Communication Council (ACC), has announced that the 2011 Automotive Communications Awards (ACA) will be presented on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Women’s Board reception during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas.
The Automotive Communications Awards recognize those companies and agencies that provide automotive information to consumers and the trade professionals who interact with them on a daily basis. Whether it is through outstanding advertising, marketing, merchandising and/or effective public relations, these two organizations would like to recognize their efforts through the ACA competition.
National awards will be presented in each category. Any client, agency or supplier that has produced automotive advertising, marketing, merchandising and/or public relations targeted to consumers or the trade is eligible. All entries must be produced and/or implemented between Jan. 2010 and Nov. 2011.
New this year, additional categories for social media efforts have been added to both the business-to-consumer and business-to-business sections, which include best blog, best Facebook customization of an aftermarket company, best QR code customization, best app for a mobile device and best use of a YouTube video. In addition, best media outreach to non-English speaking audiences, female audience and aftermarket industry recruiting materials have been added to the ACA categories.
Entries for the 2011 Automotive Communications Awards are due by Friday, Sept. 2. All entries must be submitted in PDF, jpg, mpeg, wmv or mp3 electronic format, with an accompanying electronic entry form. Entry fees are $145 for the initial entry and $95 for each additional entry.
