BETHESDA, MD — “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale starter kits — containing marketing and promotional materials to help businesses promote vehicle maintenance and the on-going “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign — are available just in time for National Car Care Month in April.

The “Be Car Care Aware” kit was designed to help service providers and parts stores increase business throughout the year through attractive point-of-sale and consumer education materials.

The starter kit features National Car Care Month materials that can be used each April to celebrate and promote this national event. The kit includes “Be Car Care Aware” signage, consumer literature and the industry’s first comprehensive service interval schedule. This schedule eliminates the guesswork for consumers by identifying the proper inspection intervals for each vehicle system and providing information about when service or repair should be performed.

The “Be Car Care Aware” campaign requests an annual donation of $175 from retailers, jobbers and professional installers who would like a starter kit. Campaign donors will have their store locations listed in the store finder (parts stores) or shop finder (service/repair or body/collision repair) pages on the carcare.org Web site.

To request a donation form, contact the Car Care Council at 240-333-1088 or [email protected].

To view the contents of the “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale starter kit and find order information, visit the Industry section of the Car Care Council’s Web site at: www.carcare.org.
