The warehouse was also built to ship tires from Latin America to the U.S. and tires from Japan and other Asian counties to the eastern U.S. The tiremaker bought the warehouse it occupied from SMCB Leasing and Finance Inc., which bought the property in 2007 for almost $3.1 million.
