AWE Tuning announced the continued growth of its executive team with the placement of its new director of engineering, Brian Vinson.
At AWE Tuning, Vinson will be leading all new product development. He will be overseeing the AWE Tuning research and development teams, encompassing the mechanical engineering, industrial design and prototyping functions.
“Brian’s placement marks another milestone in AWE Tuning’s growth, as we continue to increase quality, innovation, applications and throughput, as the organization expands to new markets,” said AWE Tuning President Todd Sager.
Vinson’s role prior to joining AWE Tuning was as the engineering manager at Air Lift Performance, where he was responsible for all engineering activities related to Air Lift’s performance air suspension products. Prior to Air Lift Performance, Vinson held positions within Bridgestone-Firestone as a senior engineer and as development lead for its Praxis Air Suspension products, which followed a role at Chrysler as its senior truck vehicle dynamics engineer.
“I am excited to be joining such a strong organization, filled with talented, passionate people. AWE’s long-running reputation of building bespoke products for enthusiasts was something that immediately attracted me, as did the management’s vision for the future. I will be working hard to uphold the AWE standard as well as bring some new ideas to the team as we usher in the next chapter of this dynamic business,” said Vinson.
Vinson holds his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from University of Detroit. He is relocating from Howell, Michigan, to AWE Tuning’s Horsham, Pennsylvania, headquarters.
